"Cursed" review

Horror movie filmmakers do not take the werewolf seriously anymore. "Cursed" is no exception. It tells the tale of a brother and sister and the werewolf dilemma that comes between them. They get bit/infected by a werewolf on a Hollywood night in those Hollywood Hills. The rest of the movie is a garbled mess of teen movie clichés and half-hearted werewolf scenes.

As a horror flick, "Cursed" is pretty weak. The werewolf scenes are campy. When a wild, evil, snarling werewolf stops to give people the finger, you know this beast is just not wild enough. Werewolf attacks obnoxious Hollywood teens and no one cares. There's nothing scary going on here.

Even after saying all that, I still kind of enjoyed "Cursed" for what it was. Being a desperate werewolf fan, I was just happy to see the big guy back on the big screen. I'm easy to please.

Unless you're the kind of guy who laments that there is not enough werewolf movies in the world, (like me), you'd be better off skipping this one. For the werewolf fans out there, I say give it a shot. I mean, come on, it's certainly better than "Howling 4". Or Howling 5, 6....

SCORE: 2 out of 4 cursed werewolf victims

This movie was a disapointment. Give me GINGER SNAPS anyday over this trainwreck; Good review.
